Immerse yourself in the English language, life and culture with our School Stay Programme, an invaluable experience that will help you speak English like a native, boost your confidence and build a network of friends.

Live with an English family. Learn at an English secondary school and experience the English way of life.

Begin your School Stay in the autumn term (September to December) or the Spring term (January to Easter) and stay for from one term to a full school year.

Not only will you learn to speak English like a native, you will build your self confidence, expand your horizons, experience a different way of life, connect with others with different backgrounds and cultures and get the edge for college applications! 

Accommodation

You will live with an English family in their home and share in their family life. You’ll have your own room, with space to study and access to WiFi.

Tuition

You will attend a local English Secondary School or College full-time. You will be able to participate in their sports and social activities.

Supervision and support

You will be met by The EEOP staff on arrival and enjoy a two-day orientation in London, where you’ll meet other School Stay students, enjoy trips to London’s famous sights and museums and a West End Show, with The EEOP staff on hand to answer all your questions.

Throughout your stay, you will have the support of your host family and your Area Consultant, who will contact you regularly and visit you in person to check all is going well. Should you need help, advice or just want a chat, your Area Consultant is only ever a call or message away, 24/7.

Requirements

You will be a student aged 15 to 18 years old with competent conversational English, health insurance and a visa or permission under Brexit terms to travel to the UK.

Choose the area of England for your School Stay Programme:

South West: Devon and Cornwall, with their long winding coastline with dramatic cliffs and beaches, home of surfing, smuggling,scones, jam and cream, the ponies on Dartmoor and Exmoor.

 South East: Kent and Surrey, the two most eastern of the southern counties, home to the iconic White Cliffs of Dover, the rolling green Surrey Hills, the ancient city of Canterbury and Hampton Court - the Tudor palace and home of King Henry VIII and his six wives.

Cambridgeshire: a county to the East of central England famous for the city of Cambridge and its world-famous and historic university, the home of Oliver Cromwell who turned the country into a republic after a civil war that ousted the King (who was beheaded), and for the city of Ely with its beautiful medieval cathedral built in the 11th century.

Cambridge, the city after which gives its name to the county of Cambridgeshire in the East of central England.

Hampshire: a county on the south coast of England with the ancient city of Winchester its county town, famous for its medieval cathedral, the ports of Southampton and Portsmouth, and the beautiful New Forest created a royal forest in 1066 by William the Conqueror.
